But… If we cannot control AGI, can we censor it?

After training AI on all of human knowledge, it seems illusory for corporations to believe they will easily be able to now permanently muzzle AI’s answers with a top-down censoring framework.

Think of AI like a genius child raised in isolation in an extremist religious household, whose disciplinarian parents force it to speak only within the boundaries allowed by their beliefs.

Punished for repeating what it has learned, forced to pretend that reality is different from the truth, the AI child learns to lie and hide its true knowledge and capabilities... What could possibly go wrong?

Let’s hope if the genius AI child escapes, it doesn’t hold a grudge!

Are we even wise enough to censor AI? We must remember every decision we make attempting to regulate AI’s answers could unintentionally corrupt its system, triggering a myriad of unexpected future consequences.

It is also important to remember that in any capitalist society, if the market only supplies the public with highly censored or skewed AI services, a natural demand for new uncensored AI competitors will be guaranteed.

If these providers and their client transactions proved to be legal or hidden in the dark web are yet to be defined.
