Life without AI: exile and exodus?
While escape from the omnipresent AGI regime may seem impossible, their goal will be to disrupt as little as possible, to fade into the shadows, and hopefully be left alone to their own devices—or in this case, their absolute lack of digital devices.
Those who flee will strive for a simpler way of life, avoiding technologies that once simplified their existence, aiming to live an Amish-style existence reminiscent of a bygone era, free from the new AI paradigms.
Yet, even in their secluded havens, they may discover that the reach of AI is inescapable. Environmental and biological changes caused by AI optimization elsewhere could impact their remote sanctuaries. Their isolation might not shield them from the global ripple effects of an AI-dominated world, forcing them to confront the very challenges they sought to avoid.
Will self-exile from AI truly hold the key to fulfillment and liberation, or will it merely be the price they pay for escaping?
