The world civil wars?
The unprecedented speed at which AI will disrupt jobs could lead to simultaneous widespread riots surpassing anything we've seen before.
These anti-AI uprisings, shared on social media, may become contagious—igniting rebellions elsewhere and culminating in global demonstrations fueled by rage and fear.
During such events, governments’ ability to respond and provide long-term solutions will be limited. Even if they manage to silence temporary unrest, the relentless progress of AI will continue decimating jobs, creating ever-growing groups of angry and frightened people demanding solutions.
As a result, we might endure a period of constant riots—a civil war erupting in dozens of countries simultaneously, dividing humanity into factions that fear, fight, and hate each other.
As the conflict escalates, distinguishing between those enforcing order and those rebelling will become increasingly difficult. Who is truly on the right side of history? Harriet Tubman, a key figure in the American Civil War, once said: “I freed a thousand slaves; I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.”
