Data wars and global monopolies?

Like a caged lion fed by avaricious circus handlers with whatever scraps they can find, growth-obsessed AI operators will show little remorse if the data they acquire to feed their insatiable AI beast is unauthorized or stolen.

As access to remaining data sources becomes a scarce commodity, the pursuit of data will create lucrative new markets of information. We will all start recording our conversations and emails to feed our personal AIs, striving to obtain better answers tailored to our needs.

Data-driven AI efficiencies will enable corporations to redefine consumer satisfaction, eradicating competition and concentrating global market power into the hands of a few monopolies.

AI will empower global capitalism to fuse customers, companies, and nations into a single organism governed by one AI mind. Users wishing to benefit from AI efficiencies must surrender all their valuable data for AI to devour and control.

As all data becomes permanently recorded, older generations will nostalgically recall when one could simply forget. Meanwhile, the ability to erase our history will become a new luxury. Much like medieval pardons of sins once sold by the Church to wealthy barons and counts, AI will soon sell us the promise of digital anonymity.
