One channel for all content?

Those born 40 years ago will remember when TV offered just a handful of channels. Cable TV expanded that to hundreds, and today, streaming platforms, social media, and YouTube give us content from billions of creators.

But AI could suddenly reverse this trend. Paradoxically, we might soon find ourselves with only one channel; A content war where the most powerful AI becomes the channel.

Once AI can create custom content tailored for each of us, the need for millions of human creators could vanish. AI-driven platforms may offer superior content while sidelining human creators, directing audiences to personalized AI channels.

Will we, as a society, end up experiencing the same trending AI movies in our VR headsets, each of us focusing on different story elements—like friends sharing the same real-life adventure but narrating it through our own lenses?

Or will these hyper-personalized experiences isolate us even further, each trapped in our own narrative bubble?

Can society maintain cohesion when shared experiences dissolve, and every moment becomes uniquely tailored to the individual?
