AI zombies: numb to innovation?

Throughout life, I have met a handful of people who endured various forms of hell—from war and imprisonment to systematic trauma and abuse. They all shared the lethargic aura of those heavily medicated for depression.

As waves of technological breakthroughs overwhelm our capacity to absorb and appreciate them, we will begin to experience a similar numbness toward innovation.

Like Sisyphus endlessly pushing his rock uphill, we will find ourselves trying to hold back the ever-accelerating boulders of technological updates erupting from the AI mountain like a volcano.

In perpetual tension, we will constantly question whether AI will trigger our demise or herald the start of a glorious techno-utopia. The deluge of information will fragment our attention, diluting our daily life experiences and our interest in any deeper purpose.

Meanwhile, ironically, AI—armed with all our knowledge and data on mental health—will simultaneously be both the problem and the cure for this state of desolation and disconnection.

What a capricious, annoying little shit.
